Royal Wedding Mother of the Bride Dress 2011: Blake and Company Blog

mother of the bride dressSo, as it turns out, the most famous wedding dress of the millennium, Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress, has been designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen.   The wedding dress was selected because of its fine craftsmanship, beauty and because it is a product of Britain.

The dress itself featured a hand-engineered lace floral design.  Ivory satin material adorned the bodice.  The dress took several workers hours and hours to create.

However, while the wedding dress was spectacular, there is another outfit that caught our attention here at Blake and Company.  The outfit that caught our attention is the one worn by Carole Middleton, the mother of the bride.

The mother of the bride outfit was a beautiful sky.  Apparently, it turns out that the mother of the bride changed her mind at the last minute and ditched the mother of the bride outfit designed by designer Lindka Cierach.  It is rumored that after several months and several secret fittings, the mother of the bride, Carole Middleton, opted for a different mother of the bride outfit leaving the original mother of the bride designer stunned.

It is predicted that as the Royal Wedding was being broadcast, mother of the bride dress designers and wedding dress designers were busy making replicas.  It is highly likely that similarly styled designs will be featured in the months to come.

Mother of the Bride Dress More Anticipated than Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress

While all of England and possibly the whole world wait for one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings of the year – new details have been released.  Kate Middleton has not announced who will design her bridal dress or the mother of the bride dress, but Palace officials have announced that Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams will preside over the April 29th, 2011 11:00am wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

While special occasion dresses for the bridal party have not been selected as of yet – it is known that the royal couple will travel from the wedding at Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace by carriage.  The festive wedding procession will take place as the carriage passes by several of London’s major landmarks.

The carriage route will go through Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and the Mall.  The route is likely to be packed with revelers and well-wishers hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds.  Upon arrival at Buckingham Palace, the couple is expected to make a brief appearance on the balcony.

Once the couple greets the crowd from the balcony, next on the agenda is a star studded royal wedding reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, William’s grandmother.

The guest list will be an assortment of royals, celebrities, family and friends all dressed to impress in the latest special occasion dresses of the season.  One can only imagine how many honeysuckle special occasion dresses will be in attendance.

There will be a need for several special occasion dresses to be worn on that day because Prince Charles will also host a dinner and dance for his son William and his new bride that evening at Buckingham Palace. The couple’s closest friends and family will be invited and you can bet that not one of them will be caught dead wearing the same special occasion dress that they wore to the daytime wedding reception.  This is a chance for special occasion dress wholesalers to really rack up!

Further details are to be announced as the wedding date gets closer.

You can bet that the wedding dress and wedding dress designer that Kate Middleton selects will have an impact on the fashion world – specifically the special occasion dress industry.  Here at Blake and Company, all eyes will be focused on a dress that is more important than the wedding gown – the mother of the bride dress.
