It is no joke – the Pantone Color Institute has arguably the largest influence in selecting color trends for fashion. You can be sure that the mother of the bride dress designers and special occasion gown designers are already at work to be the first to release their honeysuckle lines.

To people in the know, it’s no surprise that honeysuckle is the 2011 color of the year because at New York City’s Fashion Week the reddish-pink honeysuckle made its way up and down the catwalk several times as models strutted their stuff in honeysuckle special occasion dresses.
