Is Jessica Simpson Planning a Secret Christmas Wedding?

Special occasion dresses and mother of the bride dresses on Christmas?  Christmas Day isn’t really a popular wedding day – but rumors were circulating that Jessica Simpson was going to marry fiancée, Eric Johnson on Christmas Day.

Mother of the Bride Dress

Jessica Simpson with Mom Debbie Simpson.

Whether or not the rumors are true, it will be interesting to see what the bride decides to wear.  The bride wore a Vera Wang dress for her first wedding to Nick Lachey but says she wants to keep it simple this time around.

When it comes to special occasion dress designs, Simpson may select a vintage lace gown, or she may go with something to show off her hourglass shape.  Based on her taste, Simpson has gone for pastel shades in the past when seen in special occasion dresses.  Maybe she’ll choose something pastel for her bridesmaids and mother of the bride dresses.

Perhaps a pale grey would suit Simpson’s style and she may go in that direction when helping her mom choose the mother of the bride dress.

When sister Ashlee Simpson wed rocker Pete Wentz, the mother of the bride dress was black as were the bridesmaid special occasion dresses.  It seems that Jessica would want to do something original, so my prediction is that a black mother of the bride dress is out of the question.

Regardless of what Jessica Simpson’s mom wears, the wedding is sure to be a fashionable event with plenty of the latest special occasion dresses on display.

It is important to keep on top of all of the hottest key fashion elements in order to stay up to date with the latest special occasion dress fashions.

Here are some fashion tips that will help you stay on top of the fashion game in 2011.  Warning: These tips are not for novice special occasion dress novices.  These tips are only for the bravest special occasion dress and mother of the bride dress fashionistas!  If you are not a brave special occasion dress wearer who is willing to take chances – then stop reading this mother of the bride wholesale blog immediately!

Here are the first three tips:

Tip #1:  Looking for the trendiest new color to hit the market?  It’s camel!  Camel gives off an elegance that is perfect for the classy, sophisticated mother of the bride.  Contrasting brown tones and accents work wonders to bring out the best in a camel special occasion dress.  Beige can also add the contrast that you are looking for the make the camel special occasion dress exude elegance.

Tip #2: In 2011, a minimalist special occasion dress in a neutral color can do the trick for a mother of the bride looking to impress.  Mother of the bride dresses don’t have to be too elaborate.  Sometimes, the “less is more” approach can work quite well when applied to a special occasion dress.

Tip #3:  Leopard prints in moderation can add refinement to a special occasion dress.  If you are truly brave, you can actually explore the option of breaking all fashion rules and go for a print mix with a polka dot / leopard combo.  (Warning: This is only for the elite fashionistas and should not be attempted by the novice special occasion dress user.)

Special Occasion Dress Tips from Bravo’s Project Runway

Special Occasion Dress NYProject Runway is a very popular television show.  It has just completed airing 8 full seasons on Bravo.  Sometimes the fashions that we see on the rack are inspired by television programs such as these.  It is important for NYC wholesale dress vendors to keep up to date on the latest fashions coming down the pike.

The following Blake and Company wholesale special occasion dress blog is inspired by ideas put forth by the Project Runway television program.

Before we begin, there are some recommendations to women on items that they will need before reading the rest of this article.  It is suggested that women have foundation garments, such as support hose or a strapless bra.  High-contrast accessories are also a must.  Don’t forget the evening clutch and either a dress cardigan or bolero jacket.  These accessories should all help to make your special occasion attire impressive.

Okay, now are you ready for the Project Runway tips?  If you’re still reading, then that’s a good sign…  First, before thinking about special occasion dresses – whether it be for a mother of the bride, mother of the groom or mother of the bar / bat mitzvah, it is important for women to evaluate their bodies as to what suits their body types.  So, the first tip when it comes to special occasion dresses is fit.  Wholesale special occasion dress vendors must keep this in mind when stocking their showrooms and retail locations.

Glamorous accents – should they or shouldn’t they be worn to accentuate a special occasion dress?  Host Heidi Klum’s says yes – but like everything else – accessories are best when done in moderation.  In other words, a special occasion dress will get lost behind rhinestones, pearls, ribbons, lacing, fur and feathers.  Instead, just pick one to accent your special occasion attire.

Next we get to the topic of support foundations.  A good strapless bra and support pantyhose can do wonders for the right special occasion outfit.

Accessorize a neutral or black special occasion dress with colorful, high-contrast pieces.  This is an old trick that can turn a plain special occasion dress into an amazing special occasion outfit.

Hats and gloves?  Leave them home!  There is a time for hats and gloves, but unless you’re heading to church or the horse races, it’s best to leave them in the closet.  Hats and gloves can take a fantastic special occasion dress and make it look silly.  Instead, it may be a good idea to try an elegant hair clip.

Remind your wholesale special occasion dress clients to leave the big pocket books at home.  A small evening clutch bag can make a special occasion dress look even better.

Wraps may be a good idea, but for a younger look it may be a good idea to accompany a special occasion dress with a bolero or fancy cardigan.
